YUTA OKAMURA
Yuta Okamura is an award-winning Japanese-born film director and the founder of Studio One Films, based in Tokyo and San Francisco. Yuta graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Television Production from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in 2011. He co-produced and served as cinematographer on the Oscar-nominated feature documentary Black Box Diaries, and has directed multiple internationally recognized short films. His work spans both documentary and narrative filmmaking, blending cinematic artistry with social insight.
Through Studio One Films, Yuta leads a production company dedicated to creating global, action-driven films centered on social issues, as well as high-end commercial content. His signature style combines emotional storytelling, striking visual language, and bold, genre-crossing narratives. Most recently, he partnered with Japan’s oldest miniature studio to develop an immersive new feature film that bridges traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge visual design.
