We are proud to announce that Black Box Diaries has been nominated for the 2025 Academy Award for Best Feature Documentary. The film, directed by journalist and filmmaker Shiori Ito, offers an unflinching and deeply personal look into the realities of sexual violence, power, and justice in modern Japan.

Our founder, Yuta Okamura, joined the project as co-producer and cinematographer, bringing cinematic precision and emotional depth to its storytelling. From the early stages of development to principal filming in Tokyo and London, our team supported the film’s creative and logistical execution, ensuring that each scene carried both visual impact and emotional honesty.

This nomination not only recognizes the film’s artistic achievement but also underscores the importance of courage and truth in documentary filmmaking. We are deeply honored to have contributed to a work that continues to inspire audiences and drive meaningful conversations around the world.
